Celebrating NZ Music Month Overseas. Why NZ Music Month Matters, Wherever You Are

Why Munich has more to offer than just Oktoberfest

The effervescent sprawling capital city of Bavaria is well known for its beauty, incredible architecture, romance, culture, and mouth-watering food. Oh, and of course, the very stuff legends are made of, their annual Oktoberfest. Bavaria in Germany is a fascinating corner of the globe and one you could spend a virtual lifetime exploring and not even end up scratching the surface.

8-bit Aleworks craft beer tasting

Level up in craft beer land: 8-Bit Aleworks in Arizona (USA)

What do pixels and hops have in common? Both are equally important in Avondale, Arizona at 8-Bit Aleworks, a craft beer brewery that geeks will love. Not just craft beer geeks but game geeks as well. Craft beers with game-themed names surrounded by arcade and classic video games. This is what I imagine heaven to look like.

Erasmus bridge in Rotterdam

Is the nhow hotel the best place in Rotterdam for urban geeks?

To be honest, Rotterdam has so much more to offer than Amsterdam. Of all Dutch cities, Rotterdam is truly our favourite. Oops did we say the wrong thing Dutchies? So when we had the opportunity to spend a night in the tallest building of Rotterdam, we didn't have to think long and were on our way to nhow Rotterdam.

Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy

Iconic trip to the red heaven of the Ferrari Museum in Italy

No matter if you're a petrol head or not, the Ferrari name rings a bell for almost anyone. The name is synonymous with speed, victory, and the colour red. When we had the chance to make a stopover in Maranello (close to Modena), we went for it straight away. Why? Maranello is home to the famous Ferrari brand and home of the Ferrari Museum. No car geek can say no to an opportunity like that!

Every traveller will have a great time in London

This post will provide information about London, including a rundown of some of the best sights and attractions in the city.

Foodie travel tips: how to taste the best of each country

Travel is about so much more than sitting by a pool and topping up your tan. Or visiting the same tourist sites as everyone else or heading to the hotel restaurant every night. Travel should be about soaking up the culture of the location you are visiting. Getting to know the locals, trying new things and having an adventure.

Best 10 things to see and do in Berlin (Germany)

Berlin, the capital and administrative city of Germany, is not only known to have hospitable citizens and rich history, but also numerous impressive landmarks, luxurious restaurants, and world-class markets. Whether you intend to visit the city during summer, winter, spring, or autumn, you will definitely get a lot of things to do and see. The following are some of the best things to see and do in Berlin, one of the most vibrant & interesting cities in Germany.

reMarkable e-ink tablet

Quest for the best: is there a reMarkable alternative?

Recently I came across the reMarkable e-ink tablet. It triggered the “yeah, I want that gadget” hormone in my geeky mind immediately. But it isn't something you buy as an impulse purchase. Time to do some research first and to answer the questions: Is there a Remarkable alternative that is better or cheaper? Well, here's what I found.

Snowbombing Friday Night

Trade in mud or dust for snow & fun at Snowbombing

For everyone who's partying at the summer festival season in Europe, did you know there are also winter music festivals in Europe? This means no muddy or dusty festival sites but heaps of fun in a snowy area while listening to your favourite bands and DJs. And one of these festivals is the Snowbombing winter festival.

Tasty meal with St Bernardus. Feels like being in Belgium

It's hoppy. It's yeasty. It's Belgium

Let's have a taste of Belgium... No not Belgium the beer, but Belgium the country. Yes, it's a country. Of course, you guys knew that, but according to a poll, 65% of Americans think that Belgium is a beer company instead of a country. That calls for a blog post to tell you a bit more about that country.

Another discount airline in the spotlight: airBaltic

We simply love all these discount airlines in Europe. It's so easy and cheap to fly around. No matter where you're flying from there's always a discount airline (or two) to go for, instead of the regular airlines. Simply look around, compare fares, and you'll be discovering new countries or cities for a few bucks. That's one of the advantages of (temporarily) living in Europe.

Boarding an easyJet plane on a misty night

Cheap airlines in the spotlight: easyJet

There are many options for travelling through Europe as there are so many cheap airlines to choose from. We certainly have a few favourites among the many European airlines. So let's talk about the orange airline: easyJet, another one of our favourites in Europe.
