    Fans of rock, metal, and punk(rock) live music will have heaps of opportunities to get their horns up in Europe. The new rock festival season will be an awesome one. We've selected 6.66 of the best rock festivals throughout Europe for the upcoming season. Check out the line-ups, ticket info and start planning your trip. Horns up, rock fans.

    We've listed our favourite rock festivals in alphabetical order (by country)… 6.66 rock festivals in Europe that have impressed us by either the line-up they have announced so far. We'll update the info below when new bands are announced, so stay tuned.

    1) Belgium: Graspop Metal Meeting

    The 25th-anniversary edition of Graspop Metal Meeting will be awesome. Check it out!

    • Dates: 2022 dates wull follow (Graspop will definitely not take place in 2021)
    • Where: Stenehei in Dessel (Belgium)
    • Line-up 2022: To be announced later in the year. *fingers crossed the full 2020/2021 line-up will play in 2022 as well*

    2) Germany: Rock am Ring & Rock im Park

    Another anniversary in the rock/metal festival scene in 2022. Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park is celebrating its 35th anniversary. Prepare for awesomeness!

    • Dates: 3-5 June 2022 (2 festivals @ 2 locations on the same date)
    • Where: Mendig Airport / Vulkaneiffel (Rock am Ring) or Nuremberg (Rock im Park)
    • Line-up 2022: *fingers crossed the full 2020/2021 line-up will play in 2021 as well*
    • Line-up 2020: Airbourne, Alter Bridge, August Burns Red, Baby Metal, Baroness, Broilers, Bush, Deftones, Disturbed, Devin Townsend, Green Day, Heaven Shall Burn, Korn, Skillet, Seasick Steve, System of a Down, The Offspring, Volbeat, Weezer and many more awesome bands.

    3) Germany: Wacken Open Air

    • Dates: 29, 30 & 31 July 2021 (no news about changes yet)
    • Where: Wacken (50km North of Hamburg) in Germany
    • Line-up 2021: *fingers crossed the full 2020 line-up will play in 2021 as well*
    • Line-up 2020: Ammon Amarth, As I Lay Dying, At The Gates, Avantasia, Beast In Black, Danko Jones Devin Townsend, Dropkick Murphys, Judas Priest, LA Guns, Lucifer, Michael Monroe, New Model Army, Overkill, Rotting Christ, Sick of it All, Stratovarius, Tarja, Therapy? and many more.

    • Tickets: sold out… Yes, that's correct. Wacken sold all 75,000 tickets on the first day of the presale.

    4) Germany: Vainstream festival

    Oh wow, another anniversary… Vainstream will celebrate its 15th anniversary.

    • Where: Am Hawerkamp in Münster, Germany

    • Where: Clisson in France (near Nantes)

    • Where: close to the town of Dinkelsbühl in Bavaria, Germany
    • Line-up 2021: Paradise Lost, Amon Amarth, Blind Guardian, Dark Tranquility, Eisbrecher, Jinjer, I Prevail, Lord of the Lost, Testament, Wardruna, While She Sleeps, Within Temptation… And many more awesome bands.
